The following Terms and Conditions apply only to orders placed via the Greysons Furniture website or via telephone orders placed with the Online Sales team on 0330 111 7447. 

Please read them through carefully before using the website or making your orders over the telephone. They do not affect your statutory rights. Your continued use of this website constitutes your agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions which shall also govern all transactions on the website or over the telephone to the exclusion of any other terms and conditions.

Greysons Furniture Limited reserves the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time without notice to you and any changes will take effect on the day they are posted. Any such changes will be posted on this section of the website and your continued use of the website constitutes your agreement to be bound by the prevailing terms and conditions. You will be requested to read and accept these terms and conditions every time you place an order. For this reason we encourage you to review them whenever you use this website to ensure that you are familiar with the latest terms and conditions. We also recommend to all our customers to print and retain a copy of the terms and conditions for future reference.

Buying Goods

  1. Your order only constitutes an offer to purchase Goods from us, and does not form a binding contract until accepted by us. Where you order more than one product your order contains a series of offers for each product individually.
  2. On receipt of your Order, we will send you an Order acknowledgement email to the email address that you provide in the Order process. This Order acknowledgement email will contain your Order number, details of the Goods ordered and a delivery estimate. Note that this email is only to acknowledge that your order has been received, and is not acceptance by us of any offers to purchase Goods.
  3. An offer made by you to purchase a product shall only be deemed to be accepted by us when we dispatch that product to you and send you an Order dispatch email that includes details of the product. We reserve the right to refuse any offers in an Order prior to acceptance. If a product is not available we will include details of the unavailable product in the Order dispatch email. A product that is not available will not be included in the contract for a product that is dispatched.
  4. We reserve the right to decline all or part of any order for whatsoever reason and should this occur we will e-mail you with these details.
  5. All prices are displayed inclusive of V.A.T.
  6. Greysons Furniture have made every effort to represent the colour of the furniture as accurately as possible. However as the colour display depends on your monitor, we cannot guarantee that it will accurately reflect the colour of the furniture delivered.
  7. Every care is taken in the preparation each listing, especially to ensure that prices quoted are correct at time of publishing and all products have been fairly described. However, orders will only be accepted if there are no material errors in the description of the goods or their prices as advertised on this website.
  8. The item delivered in rare cases may have slight variations in the pattern, material or colour due to availability of material from the images shown customers will be informed at the earliest opportunity before delivery if this may be the case.
  9. Greysons Furniture have a policy of continuous product development and reserve the right to amend the specification of products without prior notice in relation to future sales.
  10. Items supplied may differ from those on display or advertised as a consequence of our product development. Unless agreed with you, the Goods supplied will be of equivalent value, functionality and appearance.
  11. Many of our furniture items are upholstered in batches. This means there may be a slight variation in the colour of each batch, although we work hard to ensure they are as consistent as possible we cannot guarantee every batch of a fabric will be identical.
  12. All dimensions are approximate, please allow for the possibility of slight variances from sizes stated.
  13. All our products come with a 1 year manufacturers' guarantee unless otherwise stated.

Care

  1. We recommend all cushions are regularly plumped and turned on a daily basis. This will ensure the longest possible life for your suite.
  2. We do not accept responsibility for any fading or discoloration that may occur due to exposure to direct or indirect sunlight.
  3. We also do not accept responsibility for fading or discoloration that may occur due to exposure from chemicals which are sprayed on or near your furniture.
  4. We recommend that your furniture is always cleaned by professional cleaners, particularly for upholstery and leather items.
  5. We can reserve or hold stock for a customer for up to four weeks in our distribution warehouse. If we hold stock for longer than this period it may incur storage fees.

Delivery

  1. Delivery charges are calculated as part of the checkout process, based on the proximity of your delivery address to our nearest distribution centre If we discover an error in the price of goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible and give you an option of reconfirming your order at the correct price, or cancelling the order. If we are unable to contact you we will treat the order as cancelled and you will receive a full refund.
  2. We aim to deliver your furniture within delivery estimates quoted when you place your order. These are based on when we believe we can deliver the order to you based on stock levels and or lead times from our suppliers. Where multiple items have been ordered, we will endeavour to deliver them all together by the longest delivery time quoted, unless a split delivery is requested. This additional service will be subject to a further carriage charge. If the circumstances of your order change, we will contact you. If, however, it is delayed due to circumstances beyond our control, then we cannot accept any liability for consequential loss.
  3. Greysons Furniture retain legal ownership of any goods supplied until full payment of all monies due is made. Greysons Furniture reserve the right to enter the customers premises to recover goods once payment is overdue. Unitl goods have been recovered, the customer must store goods due for recovery separately and clearly labelled as "property of Greysons Furniture". Customers agree to allow Greysons Furniture to their premises to verify that the obligations are being complied with.
  4. The buyer is responsible for ensuring that any item ordered will fit through doors and passageways to be placed in the room of your choice. If our delivery team are unable to take the item into the house it will either placed in an agreeable location within the property or the buyer will incur the cost of a call out fee to have the item returned to our warehouse. If the drivers are able to bring the item into the house they will offer to place the item to a room of choice. This service is only available to the ground floor. For deliveries above ground floor, it is at the drivers discretion upon assessment. 
  5. Our drivers are very careful, however we cannot accept responsibility for any damage to your property whilst delivering your goods.
  6. If the buyer refuses to take delivery of goods for any reason other than if they are damaged in transit, they will be liable to be charged a call our fee.
  7. At the time the order is placed order details will be passed onto our logistics team who endeavour to schedule a delivery date within 48 hours with confirmation provided by email. This date can be postponed or altered if not convenient, and will be dependent upon stock availability, delivery schedules, seasonal constraints, etc.
  8. We will advise you as soon as possible if for any reason circumstances beyond our reasonable control will affect the estimated delivery time beyond a reasonable date for delivery.
  9. We understand that in some cases our customers need to amend or change their order. This is free to do within 48 hours of placing your order. 
  10. We will usually provide a morning or afternoon time slot for deliveries made by our own drivers, however this is not of the essence in this agreement. We will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss of profits or other financial loss or damage suffered by you through any reasonable delay or delay due to unforeseen circumstances outside of the reasonable control of Greysons Furniture or delay due to any reasonable rescheduling of delivery.
  11. In situations when an external courier service is used Greysons Furniture do not take responsibility for coordinating delivery dates and times. You will be notified at the earliest possible opportunity if delivery is to be made using an external courier.
  12. For deliveries made by external couriers it is the buyers responsibility to arrange for return of the item. All return costs will be paid for by the buyer.
  13. Failure to take reasonable care may result in a claim against you. To minimise the risk of any such claim we ask that you return the goods in appropriate packaging such as to prevent damage in transit.
  14. It is the buyers responsibility to inspect the item on delivery and any damage in transit should be noted in detail and signed on the delivery note.

Returns

  1. If for any reason you decide you do not like your item and wish to return the goods, you must inform us in writing within 14 days of taking delivery or prior.
  2. If you decide to cancel before taking delivery you will be entitled to a full refund.
  3. If you take delivery of your item it is the buyers responsibility to pay the return cost of the item. For items marked as free delivery please see the returns information on the product page of each item for cost of returns. If there was a delivery surcharge added to your original order this will additional to the return cost of the item for free delivery areas.
  4. It is your responsibility to take good care of the furniture ordered. Return items must be in the same condition as sold and we reserve the right to make reasonable deductions from the amount refunded to you if there are signs of wear and/or damage to the Goods.
  5. Once delivery of the item has been made you are the owner and are liable for any loss or damage. Failure to take reasonable care may result in a claim against you.
  6. There may be slight variations in the cushion patterns and fabrics from the pictures displayed due to availability of materials. If for any reason you are unhappy with your item Greysons Furniture will be happy to issue a refund.
  7. Following cancellation of your order any monies paid will be refunded by the method you used to pay us and usually within 14 days.
  8. We are entitled to refuse any order placed by you.

We will not be responsible for the performance of any obligations under these terms and conditions in the case of an event outside of our reasonable control, including (but not limited to) strikes, lockouts, failures of third party systems or networks, acts of god, fire, earthquake, storm, flood or other natural disaster, civil unrest, acts of terrorism, deliberate sabotage of or malicious damage to equipment or data or for damage to or destruction of premises or equipment.

The intellectual property rights in all software and content made available to you on or through the Website is our property or the property of our licensors and all such rights are reserved by us and our licensors. You are not permitted to publish, manipulate, distribute or otherwise reproduce, in any format, any of the content or copies of the content supplied to you or which appears on the Website nor may you use any such content in connection with any business or commercial enterprise.
